2019 you've been real ! I started this salon as a one women band wagon 5 years ago - I did it all , I worked 7 days a week , I husseled 👊 Reflections ended 2019 with 7 staff - that's 7 beautiful bloody humans I get to share this space with , they share the floor with me but each of them a special place in my heart . 2019 was probably one of my happiest years as a salon owner - this year gave me all the feels with the community we created , from our wonderful clients ( Lord knows without you I wouldn't be me ❤️ you all make my heart so full ), my incredible team ( you keep the salon going and my belly laughing ) and the Vic park community ( the strip has become a place were I love every single business owner and we really are a little family ) so thankful for the best HEART FULL year Sure we had some lows but the highs thus year outweighed it all . . HEY , come meet Jess 💕 Jess has been with us for a year now and is almost in her last year as an Emerging stylist ✨ . I became a hair dresser to help other people feel good about themselves , and be creative in different aspect ✨ . I had graduated school in 2016 and a week after a found myself a position as an apprentice in my local salon. Whilst there I helped with a numerous of hair events helping @matrix. I found a passion in up styling and creating fashion looks for stage work, surprisingly I enjoyed the caos of hair show work. I am now in my 3rd year of my apprenticeship which is my last year of tafe, I have luckily attended many hair workshops learning many different techniques and styles throughout these years which has really helped me keep updated and in trend with what hair is now today. . I am an originally a Perth girl but in 2018 I had spent half a year in Brisbane, I felt the need to get out of my comfort zone and explore what may had been out there for me. It was a great experience, a big change and taught me a lot but I found myself coming home back to beautiful Perth City. . . My obvious first passion is hair 💁‍♀️ I don’t see it has just a job . I also have a passion for animals, as I have had many pets including turtles, rabbits, chickens, two dogs and two cats, and one annoying loud corella bird. 😂 . My goals are to do bridal hair and show work, getting models prepped for the big runway with up styles and colour. One of my personal main goals is to save and travel to Japan and have ago at snowboarding! I love the culture there and the food. ⛩️🍣🍜 . My guilty pleasure is watching Ru Paul’s Drag race 🙊 I am totally addicted, I enjoy the humour and the glitz and glam of the make up looks and especially the crazy wigs they have to offer, I really do binge watch this show.
